On Saturday 4 July Endemol Shine Africa's Reality Check S3 debuts on e.tv at 6:05PM, followed by the new sitcom B&B at 6:30PM.
The format of Reality Check is simple: three celebrities trade their glitz and glamour to tackle social issues and participate in charity activities. Viewers see them step out of their comfort zones and get their hands dirty to make South Africa a better place.
On each episode they are given a task to complete and a charity to work with. If they complete the task successfully, they are given a reward of R4000 at the end of the episode. The goal is to raise R48 000 by the end of the season which they will donate to the charity that touched their hearts.
In the all-new season of Reality Check viewers will watch the scandalous songstress Kelly Khumalo, loudmouth and rapper iFani and the sultry Chomee ditch their lavish lifestyles and go around Jozi doing good. Will they pull it off? That remains to be seen.
On this week's episode our three celebs visit Eqinisweni Secondary School in Thembisa and get to hang out with the students. They arrive to a warm welcome and have a great time with the kids.
Watch behind-the-scenes footage of Chomee and the Eqinisweni Secondary School students singing the kwaito track Fester by Jacknife featuring Thandiswa Mazwai.
It's not all fun and games though. The threesome soon find out there is hard work to be done – and it is a 'wet and soapy' affair. Will they get down and dirty, and help the environmental health organization Life 4U Foundation full-fill its mandate? Life 4U Foundation is all about promoting hygiene and creating a healthy and clean environment in schools. But are our celebs ready to clean a school, wash some walls or scrub toilets?
We saw a sneak peek of the show and our prima donna Kelly Khumalo was caught on camera saying; "If there's anything I hate, it's anything that smells weird." So we're not convinced Kelly Khumalo will carry-out her task!
Watch Kelly Khumalo, iFani and Chomee talk about what they think their task will be this week.
Also on the cards this Saturday is the brand new sitcom B&B which will air immediately after Reality Check. The show is set in a bed and breakfast, and follows the lives of the owners, the Beseni family.
The series stars Mpume Ngwenya as Thandi, Thembalethu Ntuli as Cuba, Mackmillian Leshumo as Zwe, Mondé Sibisi as Dolce, Marah Louw as Ma Mgcina, Asanda Maku as Buhle and Siphiwe Hlabangane as Boss.
Located in Muldersdrift, just off Beyers Naude and close to the West Rand suburbs, at the edge of modern society, the B&B attracts a buffet of hilarious guests. But the owners of B&B are all about keeping up appearances and are delusional enough to lose sight of the truth.
The head of the household Duma Beseni (32), otherwise known as Bosso is an aspiring entrepreneur with many unfinished business ideas. His mission in life has always been to be the first black Sol Kerzner; an aspiration he kept since he watched Basetsana Kumalo take the Miss South Africa crown on TV at Sun City in 1994.
Prior to owning the B&B he lived in his mother's backroom until his luck changed when he won the lottery. His win afforded for his dreams to come to life. Well, almost. He bought himself a three series BMW, a dilapidated B&B establishment and refurbished it, an electric shaver and acquired a new wardrobe from Exact Stores. He now lives with his family in a huge house on the property which he also renovated.
On the first episode a mother-in-law meets her new Makoti. Will she be a mother in-law from hell or will they get on like a house on fire? Tune in to find out.
Don't miss Reality Check S3 at 6:05PM and B&B 6:30PM every Saturday on e.tv.
